(G3) Hats for Sale

This project was inspired by the book " The Hatseller and the Monkeys" by Baba Wague Diakite
In the West African tale, the mischievous monkeys steal BaMusa's hats.
BaMusa travels from town to town with his hats piled high on his head.
"Hee Manun nin koi kadi sa!" he sang, which means, "What a wonderful business hat selling is!"

Our own BaMusa balancing the hats.

Creating interesting patterns.

Happy with the results.

  1. Wow! I am going to have to get that book! We have a different version called "caps for sale," but the caps are really boring in comparison.

  2. great project. I bet they loved it. Summer comes around and it is so much fun collecting ideas for next year, which will be here before we know it.

  5. These are amazing. I was thinking the same thing Angie said, I've used "caps for sale" before for other projects, but this book trumps that for sure. Great project.

All of your projects seem to truly open the door for creativity in your students, that is wonderful!
